I spent 9 months working on metadata for items in the Ernest Marquez photography collection during the summer of  2015 to spring 2016 at the Huntington Library. When possible, I attempted to give a little extra attention to reflections of the lives of women and children in early 20th century Los Angeles. Here are some of my favorite vignettes; early Chinatown and personal photos from a schoolteacher in Topanga.
